La Península, Tronadora
Also known as: La Península
A peninsula on the lake's western shore, near Tilarán, that the municipality recommends for family outings. Under review until we know which entrance is free.
The Tilarán Municipality describes La Península, in Tronadora district, as a place for family outings with views over part of the lake, where you can fish. It is at the far western end of the lake, a long way from La Fortuna (about 74 km by road to Tronadora village, according to the OpenStreetMap router).
Do not confuse it with the La Península sector of Arenal Volcano National Park, which charges admission.
What we don't know yet
- Location of each entrance and which one is free.
