Parque del Viento lookout (Tilarán)

A 360-degree lookout on Cerro Tovar, above Tilarán. From there you can see volcanoes, hills and the blades of several wind farms.

According to the Tilarán municipality, the Parque del Viento lookout sits on Cerro Tovar, 5 minutes by car from downtown or about 35 minutes on foot. It is open to everyone, has a bench and a 360-degree view of some of the area's volcanoes and hills, and of the blades of several wind farms.
The name is no accident: Tilarán means "place of winds and rains", the municipality notes. Bring something for the wind.
How to get there
Along Route 142 around the lake to Tilarán (see the [regional routes](GUIDE:rutas-regionales)). From downtown, 5 minutes by car or about 35 minutes on foot up Cerro Tovar.

An open-access lookout, according to the Tilarán municipality.
What to bring
- A jacket or raincoat, for the wind.

The lake road is very winding. Only stop at safe pull-offs.
